In a world that is pushing towards minimalism, gigantic touchscreens and a trend of feeling utterly clinical, new Alfa Romeo Tonale takes things back to a time when cars weren't just a mode of transportation with a television slapped in the middle of it, no. The new Tonale goes back to a time when cars were tactile, joyful and engaging. New Tonale offers a revised front and rear design along with updated interior and engine changes. The first and most obvious change for the new Tonale is the revised front, with a new Scudetto design, inspired by the ultra-exclusive, Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. New Tonale also features new cut-outs on the bumper inspired by the GiuliaGTA/M, along with a new, more aggressive lower bumper design and central plate license plate location, due to new EU regulations for pedestrian safety whilst still retaining the aggressive light design inspired by the Alfa Romeo SZ from 1989-91' and featuring the new black and silver badges logos front and rear. New Tonale is available with 2 engines ranging from a 1.5L petrol 175hp mild-Hybrid model, along with a range topping 1.3L petrol 270hp Plug-in Hybrid. The 1.3 Plug‑in Hybrid uses a turbocharged multiair petrol engine with an electric motor for a combined output of 270hp, and a 0–60 time of around 6.3 seconds, while achieving exceptional real world fuel economy of up to 50-55MPG and is able to be driven on full electric mode for up to 40-miles. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with mild hybrid assistance, which produces 175hp resulting in a more modest approach of a 0-60 time in 8.5 seconds with real-world fuel economy typically in the high 40's, the mild hybrid prioritises smoothness and efficiency over power and acceleration.
